Teaching Kids to Count Dollars and Change
Learning to count money and make change is an essential life skill for children. Here are some effective strategies and activities to help kids master this important skill:
1. Introduce Basic Concepts
Start with the names and values of different coins (pennies, nickels, dimes, quarters).
Discuss the value of paper money ($1, $5, $10, etc.) and how it relates to coins.
